Italian ISO

Postby belze » 23 Dec 2015 22:16

http://downloads.solydxk.nl/localized/it/

COME POSSO AIUTARE?

Buon Natale!

I've created a download page for localized ISOs: http://solydxk.nl/downloads/localized-editions/

Could you check if it's ok or that you want to change/add something?

The page is still hidden until you're ready to release.

@belze

I've changed the overall design as posted here: http://forums.solydxk.nl/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=6038
It took me some time to get KDE5 in the EEs to look something SolydXK-worthy but it's done.
At the moment, grizzler is building new EEs with the latest updates.

I'd like to go live with all the ISOs and new configuration packages at once. So, if you want you can already update the localized ISOs with the new design.

The updated packages are in testing. So, there is a slight difference in updating the ISOs.
This is how you can update them :
  1. Use the appropriate attachment to overwrite boot/isolinux/splash.jpg
  2. Install the latest solydxk-constructor if you use the Constructor to build the ISOs:

    Code: Select all

sudo apt update; sudo apt install solydxk-constructor
  3. Open the Constructor, select the ISO you want to update and hit the Edit button.
  4. Add "testing" to our repository line in /etc/apt/sources.list so that it looks like this:

    Code: Select all

deb http://repository.solydxk.com/ solydxk main upstream import testing
  5. Code: Select all

sudo apt update; sudo apt upgrade
  6. Install the latest Live Installer:

    Code: Select all

    sudo apt install live-installer-3 live-installer-3-slideshow
    sudo apt purge python-geoip
  7. Remove "testing" again from /etc/apt/sources.list
  8. Code: Select all

    sudo apt update
  9. Close the terminal and build the ISO.
  10. Check that the Grub image, Plymouth, KSplash, the desktop wallpaper and the start menu icon are now changed,

I forgot to mention that you also need to install the new Live Installer:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install live-installer-3 live-installer-3-slideshow
sudo apt purge python-geoip
I've updated my previous post.

Tomorrow, Thursday February 4, I have time to release the new ISOs and adapt the site and forum with the new logo.
All CEs that are already done are released at the same time.

I've temporary disabled the download of the Italian ISOs until you finished the new ISOs:

Hi Belze,

I've downloaded and checked your ISOs and found that the EE ISOs are missing this package:

Code: Select all

firefox-esr-solydxk-adjustments
I can release the regular Italian versions now if you want, or do you want me to wait until you've finished with the EEs?

For future releases you could also translate the menu labels of these files:

Code: Select all

/boot/isolinux/isolinux.cfg
/boot/boot/grub/grub.cfg
/boot/boot/grub/loopback.cfg
It's a detail and although I don't think users do notice the difference I've done so for the Dutch ISOs.

i removed firefox-esr in EE versions, using regular firefox instead (to me this make more sense).

I uploaded the following releases:
SolydK 8 201602_it x64
SolydX 8 201602_it x64
SolydK EE 9 201602_it x64
SolydX EE 9 201602_it x64

Known Issues:
Boot menues have a typographical error due to use of letter with accent.
Firefox is not fully translated at first use. You can still change to italian using Firefox's menu.

Notes:
EE versions have regular Firefox versions instead of ESR versions

_____________________________

Ho caricato le seguenti versioni:
SolydK 8 201602_it x64
SolydX 8 201602_it x64
SolydK EE 9 201602_it x64
SolydX EE 9 201602_it x64

Errori noti:
