synaptic failed to open (sort of SOLVED)

Postby albert.wagner » 17 Mar 2018 17:04

Received this after launching Synaptic:

Code: Select all

E: Read error - read (5: Input/output error)
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.
Here is some more. I was going to reinstall sysaptic and got this.
I was testing Vivaldi browser. I didn't change the lists. Somehow they did it.

Code: Select all

I commented out the entry in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/vivaldi-snapshot.list.
This allowed Synaptic to run, but isn't there something to do with trusted keys?
